Nokia E7 3G QWERTY Smartphone Announced; Features 8 MP Camera with 720p HD Movie Recording

Nokia today announced Nokia N7 Smartphone featuring a large 4-inch touchscreen with slide-up full QWERTY keyboard, powered by the all new Symbian platform which brings significant enhancements in speed and ease of use.

The Nokia E7 is powered by the latest version of the Nokia’s Symbian^3 platform that brings more than 250 new features and improvements and retains the familiarity of its user interface. The Symbian^3 operating system allows users to customise up to three homescreens and get live updates from the likes of Facebook and Twitter live on their homescreens.

With Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync on board, the new Nokia E7 smartphone provides direct, real-time and secure access to corporate email inboxes and other personal applications. Powered by 680 MHz ARM 11 Processor with 3D Graphics HW accelerator, the new Nokia E7 Smartphone runs on brand new new cutting-edge Symbian ^3 mobile operating system that offers several enhancements including support for gestures such as multi touch, flick scrolling and pinch-zoom.

The new Nokia E7 Smartphone also offers multiple, personalizable home-screens which can be loaded with apps and built-in widgets. Nokia E7 is quad-band 2G and quad-band 3G HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 2100 /1900 network ready handset that is equipped with a large 4-inch 360 x 640 pixel AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display featuring Nokia ClearBlack technology for improved outdoor visibility.

Features a full slide-out four rows QWERTY keyboard, the business users will find the Nokia E7 smartphone the perfect shape and size to work on documents, review spreadsheets, or read and edit slides. The Nokia E7 smartphone also features Proximity sensor for auto turn-off, Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate and is build with Scratch-resistant glass surface featuring Touch sensitive controls.

Measuring 123.7 x 62.4 x 13.6 mm the Nokia E7 weighs 176 gms and it comes with 16GB internal memory with 256MB RAM and 1GB ROM and does NOT offers memory card slot for expandable storage. Supporting MP3 and WAV ringtones, the new Nokia E7 Smartphone also includes audio media player supporting MP3, WMA, WAV, eAAC+ files and video player supporting MP4, 3GP, and WMA files, and features HDMI and Composite video driven TV-Out port, 3.5 mm audio out port, Dolby Digital Plus via HDMI port, and Digital Compass.

For corporate users, a combination of business grade security solutions is also available and new Nokia E7 smartphone is built on the new version of Symbian^3 operating system.

The Nokia E7 smartphone will also allow free access to Ovi Maps on the handset. With the latest beta release of Ovi Maps, available for download today, users will benefit from new features and even greater map detail. The new Nokia E7 Smartphone would also offers a host of security features including business grade device lock and wipe functionality, secure intranet access and remote device management.

Users will also benefit from free walk and drive navigation via Nokia Ovi Maps including premium guides from the likes of Lonely Planet and Via Michelin.

The smartphone also includes an HDMI connection and features Dolby Digital Plus Surround Sound delivering high quality music output.

The new Nokia E7 Smartphone comes with strong 1200 mAh Li-Po battery offering upto 12 hours of talk time on 2G network (5 hours on 3G) and 390 hours of stand-by time on 2G network and would go on sale in select markets during Q3 this year.

Price and Availability
The new Nokia E7 QWERTY slide smartphone (along with the Nokia C7 and Nokia C6 smartphones) is expected to begin shipping before the end of the year and it would comes in choice of Dark Grey, Silver White, Green, Blue, Orange colors.
