Nokia E5 3G Capable Affordable Smartphone

Nokia has finally announced the release of its 3G capable E-series business savvy Nokia E5 Smartphone, which is powered by ARM 11 600 MHz processor running Symbian OS, S60 rel. 3.2 sporting a full QWERTY keyboard for easy email and text chatting.

Single SIM capable Nokia E5 smartphone is available today for the price of $250 and it offers combination of features for business oriented, multimedia entertainment, social networking and email use.

For data connectivity, the new Nokia E5 Smartphone includes EDGE (EGPRS) Class 32 with 296 kbps speed, GPRS Class 32 connection, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g wireless network connection using Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology, 3G HSDPA with upto 10.2 Mbps speed, 3G HSUPA with upto 2 Mbps speed, and USB v2.0 miniUSB port for wired connectivity.

In addition, Nokia E5 also offers built-in Bluetooth v2.0 EDR with A2DP connection. The wireless Bluetooth v2.0 connection with Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) feature offered by Nokia E5 mobilephone allows listening to music on bluetooth compatible headset absolutely wire-free and in full stereo.

The new Nokia E5 QWERTY phone features 5.0 megapixel enhanced fixed-focus digital camera with maximum 2592 x 1944 pixels resolution. The Nokia E5 QWERTY smartphone phone also offers integrated MP3 media player which supports MP3, WMA, WAV, RA, AAC, and M4A music file formats and the video player allows WMV, RV, MP4 and 3GP file support. Quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band 3G capable Nokia E5 mobile phone’s other features includes 3.5 mm audio jack, built-in GPS with A-GPS support and includes Nokia Maps 3.0, built-in Loudspeaker for integrated handsfree speaker, push to talk facility, voice commands and voice recording.

The Nokia E5 QWERTY Smartphone allows integration to a wide range of corporate business email solutions including Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email and Mail for Exchange to communicate with Microsoft Exchange Server. The handset is also capable of integration with corporate telephony systems (PBX) through Nokia Mobile Unified Communications application solutions.
